Calling All Utah Brides
Looking for a florist for your Utah wedding? I am looking for wedding floral experience, so let me know, and I will cut you a great deal!
E&E Overvliet Wedding
My sister got married a few weekends ago, and I was able to help do her flowers! With ample help from the fabulous Laura and Alex Wolfe, they turned out really beautiful. I don't have many pictures yet, but here are a few of the bridal bouquet. The colors were red and gold, so I decided to spray all the foliage green with a just for flowers color spray. Also, I sprayed the inside of the anemones. Flowers/foliage used: tea roses, tulips, anemones, ranunculus, and Israeli ruscus.

Flowers Flowers Flowers
This past semester I took a floral design class. It was a great opportunity to try my hand at something I didn't have any experience with. And guess what?
I LOVE IT.
I sometimes ask my self, "Why don't I get to play with flowers everyday?"
Starting in the fall, I am going to be a TA for the floral design class at BYU, but in the meantime, I'm going to attempt to do at least one arrangement a week. And of course post it on my blog!
Here are some pictures of arrangements I did throughout the semester:
This was a wrapped bouquet that I transferred to a vase. This was my first arrangement ever!
Wrist Corsage- spray roses, wax flower, golden rod, statice, and leather leaf fern.
Four Boutonnieres- (right to left) (1) rose with leather leaf fern and baby's breath, (2) carnation with wire stitched salal, (3) daisy mum, (4) wildflower
This is a close up of the wildflower boutonniere- it is wrapped with wire with a few loops up the back to add interest. (wax flower, golden rod, and purple aster)
This is a springtime design using tulips, ranunculus, daisymums, statice, carnations, leather leaf fern, and some pussy willow sticks.
Japanese Design (Ikebana, "Living Flowers")- the three heights of flowers (from highest to lowest) represent heaven, man, and earth. It symbolizes that man resides between heaven and earth.
Spiral Bouquet- I did a classic all white bouquet with roses, carnations, wax flower, and salal with red pins going up the handle. Good practice for my sister's wedding!
